Applications Open: VdGM Family Violence SIG Lead

We have an open position for the Family Violence SIG Lead, as Nina Monteiro will sadly be stepping down shortly. We thank her for all her hard work!

VdGM Family Violence SIG is a vibrant group focused on improving understanding and awareness around issues of violence against women and intimate partner violence.

Since its creation in 2014, VdGM Family Violence SIG has run a number of workshops, mainly at VdGM and WONCA conferences, and been involved in studies about our main subject of interest. The group works in straight collaboration with WONCA Special Interest Group on Family Violence.

The lead of the SIG would be tasked with coordinating the team, considering opportunities for further activity and collaboration, promoting the work done by the team, upholding the cooperation with WONCA Special Interest Group on Family Violence, and reporting its activities annually to VdGM.

Person Specification
Committed to be actively involved in VdGM Family Violence SIG
Previous knowledge and work in the field of violence against women and/or intimate partner violence
Spoken and written communication skills in English
Leadership and good team member skills
Able to represent VdGM and our members professionally and proactively
Passionate about the VdGM Network
Young Doctor status (in training of within 5 years of qualification as a family doctor)
